C NN reported a recent gang rape and brutal beating of a 15 year old girl outside of her school’s homecoming dance. The girl was attacked by several men while others stood around and watched. Police were present at the school but were not patrolling the area. As a high school student that often attends school functions, this is a terrible story to hear. The safety of students while they are at school is not something to be taken lightly and is a large matter to be responsible for. This entire situation could have been avoided had the police been doing their jobs. The people that stood around and watched should be tried along with the rapists. None called the police and some participated.
