Disney World

In life, every person either has, had, or wished for a place they believe anything can happen, and come true. When little kids are young, they all have secret, magical places that they believe are real. In my own life, I know that I have believed in magical places before, and still do. The one place that has always been a dream of mine is Disney World. Disney World appeared to me as this big, magical place to me, has always had a big impact on my life, and I have always wanted to see it, experience it, and live it. To many, it is best described as “Where Dreams Come True”, and is a great experience for any family.

Disney World has been around for over 50 years, but, never gets boring. It has brought joy and pleasure and has had a big effect on people’s lives, young and old. But, Disney World, along with many other establishments and companies, had a tough start.

It all began when Walt Elias Disney dreamed and wished for a small family-themed park, where families could go and enjoy themselves. He had high hopes to get rid of the dirty, tawdry, treacherous theme parks that had existed in the ’20′s and ’30′s. The best example of that was Coney Island . A park that once attracted families. That didn’t last long. It turned into a sleazy, trashy, hard-boiled park.

Even though parks like this tripled across the country, Walt’s duties were still present and his determination doubled up, in hope of his vision for new beginnings. In the early 1950′s, Cedarpoint, Ohio, began an awful decline in the theme park business, as well as Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania’s Kennywood Park. Still, Walt wasn’t giving up hope of building his family-themed park, that had beautiful attractions, fun for everybody, and that would never be complete without imagination in this world. So, after the major and minor difficulties, Disney World was created. It was a long process that took a lot of hard work, but, in the end was all worth it.

The first time I walked in to Disney World, I was amazed. I had always seen it on the commercials, in the magazines, or in the paper, but, to be standing there and seeing it with my own eyes was just, indescribable. That first day, I saw The Magic Kingdom and I went crazy. My mom and I wanted to see everything, and do everything we could possibly do, just to capture the magic of it all. Now, when I get older, get married and have kids of my own, who will eventually ask me about Disney World, I can tell them that when I first saw Disney World, I was only fourteen years old.

But, my mom, Crystal, was much younger when she first experienced it. “The first time I went to Disney World,” my mom began to speak. “I was just five years old.” I sat up in shock because I had just went a couple months ago, and was surprised that I didn’t go as young as she had. Sometimes, it can be hard to capture the same majesty of Disney World as a teen. The child-like atmospher made is so I didn’t have any trouble with that, and neither did my aunt, Lisa, who was twenty-nine when she went. She told me, “Seeing all the Epcot countries, inspired me to travel, and it became a lifetime aspiration for me.”

The majesty of Disney World remained with me, my mom, and my aunt, and also has captured the lives of many others. Today, Disney World, is one of the biggest attractions in the world , and it can be enjoyed and life-changing for any family.
